About

Photojournalist with over twenty years experience working out of El Salvador and Central Florida, covering breaking news, community events and human interest story telling across the regions. Reuters contract photographer with award winning coverage of Hurricane Wilma in Havana to traditional Mayan ceremonies in the Guatemalan Highlands. Coverage of dozens of elections and a coup d’état while creating photo essays on ancient Mayan ruins in the Peten Jungle and giant leatherback turtles in the vast jungle of La Moskitia between Honduras and Nicaragua. I am highly fluent in Spanish and bring a deep regional knowledge with strong visual storytelling to every assignment.  El Metido is a feature length documentary I shot and co-directed telling the story of German Cabrera, a video journalist and Nota Roja specialist, as he covers news events in Guatemala City, one of the most violent cities in the hemisphere. You can view this video in its entirety on this site. Actively pursuing gripping real-life stories as well as bringing my documentary style to Behind the Scenes work on Motion Pictures. My work has been published in The New York Times, Life, Year in Pictures, Pictures of the Year International, and many others. Thank you for dropping in.
